There are light, medium, and heavy switches. Linear, tactile, and clicky switches. I feel like it’s common for people to think they’ll prefer one switch but find they prefer another once they’ve gotten their hands on a switch tester.
LK switches actuate at 1.5mm--this, as opposed to the 2.0-2.2mm actuation of most standard mechanical switches--and A4tech said that the switch resets faster than most, too.

I personally love browns but that is 100% preference as many people love linear switches. I think if you’re moving from rubbers the transition will be more or less the same for both. There is a tactile bump but not an annoying click. Meaning when you press the key there is a slight bit of "resistance" when you press it down, but not a clicky sound on every key stroke. Reds will have no "resistance" or clicky sound. Good for gaming. Second this.Winner: Cherry MX Brown. The sound levels Each of the switches has their own sound levels. The Brown switches do emit a little noise. You would also find a bump on the switch, but the sound is not much huge. It can be pretty equivalent to the silent switches. The Cherry MX Reds are definitely the quietest options among the Cherry range of keySt1snL.
